About Us
Hi, I’m Hannah. Shutters are the family business.
Gulf Shore Shutters is a small business in Cape Coral, and I run it. When you call, you get me. When someone comes to your house with full-size samples and a tape measure, that is me too — not a commissioned salesperson working a script, and not a different rep every time you have a question.
Your shutters are built by Devlin Shutters in Fort Myers, and Devlin is family: my uncle is one of the owners. They have been manufacturing shutters here for over30 years, and their team does the final measure and the installation. So this is not a supplier I found and could walk away from — it is my family’s factory, twenty minutes up the road, and my name goes on every job that leaves it.
Shutters are the only thing we sell, so that is the only thing I have to be good at. You get one person who answers for the whole job — from the first phone call to the last panel hung — and a thirty-year factory’s product behind it.
What We Do
A specialist, not a catalogue
Every style, measured on site
Full height, café style, tier-on-tier, and bypass or bi-fold panels for sliding glass doors. Arches, bays, bow windows, front doors and sidelights are measured in person, not ordered off a drawing.
The right material per room
Poplar for painted finishes, basswood for stains and custom colour matching, and solid-core composite or vinyl for baths and anywhere with real water exposure. We will tell you which rooms call for which.

Three choices, and we will tell you which room needs which
Finishes are Sherwin-Williams paint colours plus custom stains matched to your existing millwork. Vinyl does not offer equivalent options, which is exactly why it is the right call in some rooms and the wrong call in others.

- Takes paint beautifully. Standard finish is extra white unless you ask for another colour. Not the choice for a stained look.
- Upgrade woodBasswood
- Required for any stained shutter and for matching an existing stain. The finer grain shows through the finish.
- Moisture-proofVinyl / solid core
- For baths, kitchens and anywhere exposed to water. Limited colour range, and it cannot be stained or repainted later.

Why Shutters
Buy once, and it stays with the house
Blinds yellow and snap. Curtains hold humidity and lose their value the day they are hung. Shutters are the permanent answer, which is also why the decision is worth getting right.

- Shutters are built into the home like crown moulding or trim. They transfer with the house and hold their value — the only window covering that does not depreciate to nothing.
- Light without living in the dark
- Tilt the louvers and you control brutal west-facing sun, protect floors and furniture from UV, and keep the room usable in August — without shutting out the view.
- Privacy you can adjust
- A mid-rail or a café-style panel gives you privacy at eye level on a street-facing window while the top louvers still pull in daylight.
- Easiest covering to clean
- A wipe with a cloth. No slats to tangle, no fabric to hold humidity, dust or salt air — which matters more here than almost anywhere.

Devlin Shutters manufactures your panels to your openings. Four to six weeks from deposit — there is no warehouse to pull from, and that wait is the reason it fits.

Final measure and install
Devlin returns to final-measure and install. The balance is due on installation.

We publish the rate: $35–$40 per square foot, installed. A standard 36″ × 60″ bedroom window works out to roughly $525–$600, and a whole home of about fifteen windows lands near $7,900–$9,000. You get an itemized written quote after we measure, and the price on the invoice is the price on the quote.
Who actually installs them?
Devlin Shutters — the same people who build them. We handle the consultation, the design and the initial measure for pricing; Devlin does the final measure and the installation. We would rather you know that now than discover it on install day.
I have not heard of you. Why should I trust you with a custom order?
Fair question, and the honest answer is that our name is new here but the shutters are not. They are built by Devlin Shutters in Fort Myers, who have been manufacturing shutters here for over 30 years — and one of their owners is family. You get a small company that answers the phone, backed by a thirty-year factory's product, warranty and installers.
Will wood warp in Florida humidity?
The wood in plantation shutters is treated and finished the same way as the doors, baseboards and trim already in your house. If that wood survives the climate, so will the shutters — and the lifetime warranty on wood backs it. For baths and anywhere with direct water exposure we use solid-core composite or vinyl instead, and we will tell you which rooms those are.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks from deposit to installation. Every panel is built to your openings, so there is no stock to pull from — the wait is the reason it fits.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime on wood shutters and 10 years on vinyl. We put the terms in writing on the quote rather than describing it as "limited lifetime" and leaving you to find the limits.
Can you do arched, bay or sliding-door windows?
Yes. Arches, bays, bow windows, front doors, sidelights and walls of sliding glass are all routine. They are measured on site rather than ordered from a drawing, which is exactly where big-box and online sellers get homeowners into trouble.
How do payments work?
50% at order, balance on installation. Cash, check, Zelle, credit card or ACH.
